🔮 MODULE 5 — HUMAN DESIGN
Lesson 5.1 of 14

Human Design — The Map of Your Energetic Design

Human Design combines astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah and the chakra system into a unique synthesis. The result: a personal "manual" that tells how you are designed to make decisions and use energy.

⚡ The Five Types

The foundation of Human Design is your Type — it describes how your energy works and how you best interact with the world. There are five types, each with its own strategy, aura and theme.

Manifestor (approx. 9% of the population)

Strategy: To Inform Not-Self: Anger Signature: Peace Aura: Closed & repelling

Manifestors are the initiators of the world. They have a closed, repelling aura that protects them while they bring their vision into the world. Their strategy is not to ask permission, but to inform others before they act. This reduces resistance and creates space for their impact.

Generator (approx. 37% of the population)

Strategy: To Respond Not-Self: Frustration Signature: Satisfaction Aura: Open & enveloping

Generators are the builders and the life force of the planet. They have a defined Sacral center that gives them constant, sustainable energy — provided they do the right work. Their strategy is to respond: wait until life offers something and then follow their sacral response (that "uh-huh" or "unh-unh" feeling).

Manifesting Generator (approx. 33% of the population)

Strategy: Respond, then inform Not-Self: Frustration & Anger Signature: Satisfaction & Peace Aura: Open & enveloping

ManGens combine the sacral power of the Generator with the initiative power of the Manifestor. They are multi-passionate and often work on multiple things at once. Their process is non-linear — they skip steps, go back, and find their own way. The key: first respond, then inform, then act.

Projector (approx. 20% of the population)

Strategy: Wait for the invitation Not-Self: Bitterness Signature: Success Aura: Focused & absorbing

Projectors are the guides and managers of the new world. They have a focused, penetrating aura that can look deeply into the other. But their wisdom is only heard when they are invited. Without invitation, their advice feels like meddling. With invitation, they change lives.

Reflector (approx. 1% of the population)

Strategy: Wait a lunar cycle (28 days) Not-Self: Disappointment Signature: Surprise Aura: Resistant & sampling

Reflectors are the mirrors of the community. Without defined centers, they absorb the energy of their environment and reflect it back. They are extremely sensitive to their surroundings and need a complete lunar cycle (28 days) to make major decisions. They are the rarest and most unique types.

đŸ”ĩ The Nine Centers

The Human Design bodygraph contains nine centers, inspired by the Hindu chakra system. Each center can be defined (colored) or undefined (white). Defined centers produce consistent energy; undefined centers absorb energy and amplify it.

Center Theme Defined = Undefined =
HeadInspiration, pressure to thinkConsistent mental inspirationAbsorbs mental pressure from others
AjnaConceptualization, how you thinkFixed way of thinkingFlexible, multiple perspectives
ThroatCommunication, manifestationReliable voice and timingVariable communication style
G CenterIdentity, direction, loveStable sense of selfIdentity changes per environment
Heart/EgoWillpower, self-worthConsistent willpowerVariable willpower, don't force
Solar PlexusEmotions, emotional lifeEmotional wave, patience neededAbsorbs emotions from others
SacralLife force, sexuality, workSustainable energy (Generator)No own sacral motor
SpleenIntuition, health, survivalSpontaneous intuition, healthy instinctHolds on to what isn't healthy
RootAdrenaline, stress, pressureConsistent handling of pressureAbsorbs stress pressure from others

🧭 Authority

Your Authority is your personal decision-making process — the way you best make decisions. It is not your mind. Human Design teaches that the mind is a wonderful analyst, but a poor decision-maker.

Authority Center How to Decide
EmotionalSolar PlexusWait for emotional clarity — never decide in the moment
SacralSacralFollow the sacral response: the "yes" or "no" feeling in your gut
SplenicSpleenFollow your spontaneous intuition — the first whisper, directly in the moment
Ego/HeartHeartFollow what your heart wants — "Do I really want this?"
Self-ProjectedG CenterHear yourself talk — your truth comes through your voice
Mental (Environmental)Head/AjnaDiscuss with trusted others, pay attention to the environment
Lunar AuthorityNone (Reflector)Wait a full lunar cycle (28 days) for major decisions

🎭 The Profile

Your Profile consists of two numbers (e.g. 3/5) that describe your life theme and learning style. It is determined by the lines of your conscious and unconscious Sun gates. There are six lines:

Line Archetype Core Theme
Line 1The InvestigatorNeed for a solid foundation, gathering knowledge
Line 2The HermitNatural talent, waiting for the calling
Line 3The DiscovererLearning through trial-and-error, experience
Line 4The NetworkerInfluence through personal relationships and network
Line 5The HereticGets projected upon, expected to offer solutions
Line 6The Role ModelThree life phases: trial-and-error, withdrawal, wisdom

The twelve profile combinations are: 1/3, 1/4, 2/4, 2/5, 3/5, 3/6, 4/6, 4/1, 5/1, 5/2, 6/2, 6/3. Each combines two archetypes into a unique life path.

"Human Design is not something you believe. It is an experiment. Try it — and see what changes."

Your Human Design Experiment (1 week)

Look up your Type, Strategy and Authority. This week, consciously try to follow your strategy. If you are a Generator: wait for something to respond to. If you are a Projector: wait for invitations.

Do you notice a difference in how situations unfold when you follow your strategy versus when you initiate from your mind?
